During his school life he was a football player and then soon turned into a cricketer. He started his cricket career in the year 2004. His aggressive playing made him successful and he became the captain of Indian cricket team in the year 2007. He is a right hand batsman and also a wicket keeper. Dhoni is ranked number one batsman in the ODIs. Under his captaincy India won the T-20 world cup in the year 2007. He has bought out the hidden potential and talents of many young players. He was chosen for the chennai super kings in the IPL and he is leading the team. He is considered to be the youth icon, who has brought the Indian cricket team to third position in the world cricket under his captaincy.
