As the name resounds it, ecstasy makes the person’s “high” a heaven. It is originally a psycho therapeutic drug and it is closely associated to crystal meth. Ecstasy creates the feeling of happiness and fearlessness. It gives a false sense of security and strength. Once the person reaches the “high” they shed their inhibitions and feel better about themselves. It’s one of the most widely used illicit drugs. Its chemical name is MDMA (3, 4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine). It produces a trance like state where the person moves away from consciousness. It also increases the sense of intimacy and can increase the sexual desire. The manufacturing of this drug is in itself a dangerous process and there are impurities added to make it cheap since it is a famous “street drug”, so it can even turn poisonous. The other names are “lover’s secret” ”essence” ”clarity” ”magic” and “hug drug”. There have been cases where the person’s have ended up dying because of overdose. The overdose of ecstasy can cause dehydration and eventually death. The drug also gives enhanced visions i.e. the person does not hallucinate but rather their outlook toward the world will change to much better. Added to this it also causes migraine, terminal cancer, post therapeutic disorder in which the fear and anxiety will increase and also insomnia. It also had profound effect upon long term memory. The withdrawal will bring with it many side effects. Quitting But it is better to quit late than never.

Until the turn of the 20th century, opium was a legal drug and because of its extensive use as drug of abuse it was declared as illegal. The opium indeed has a very long and interesting history. It was started to consume as far as the Neolithic age of man as a medicinal drug. Nations even fought over this precious drug and there even had been the famous “Opium war”. It is legendary that the Victorian age poets used this drug to get into their romantic stance and belt out their beautiful verses. The opium is basically a narcotic drug and it is extracted from the opium seeds in the liquid form and, when the liquid is exposed into the air it turns dark, and then it is either smoked or swallowed. Opium is a powerful pain reliever and it is very easily available in all the medical stores. It is indeed known as the “poor man’s heroin”. It has the usual effects of all the drugs but in addition it has the blinding effect, if it is consumed in overdose. The “high” of opium will give a relaxed, fearless and confident state. The after effects are loss of body weight, dehydration due to excessive urination, nerve damage, memory loss, vision impairment, decreased sexual desire and increased anxiety. Like all its peers the intake of this drug will increase the dependence of the body, and thus the next time you take this drug more amounts has to be used in order to achieve the same effect. The drug is more vicious than heroin because the withdrawal effects are very strong for opium when compared to the heroin. So for the quitters it might be a tough job as the drug is just present everywhere and because the body becomes more dependent just after every use. But all they just need is professional help and rehabilitation centers can always provide them.

It is the basic tendency of every human not accepts the mistake they have committed, so the worse can be imagined when the drug addicts are asked to come to terms with what they are doing to their life. If you ask a drug addict how their life is with no doubt they will say it they are absolutely happy, because the reality never strikes them indeed they don’t even know reality exists. How they are supposed to be made to realize that life? More than getting high and laying unconscious for day’s together.just breaking the life and love of family and friends. The first step is to take the initiative, to get help, for this the addict must accept the fact that they are in deep trouble and they made their life a ruin and might be even in the process of losing life. Yes realization is the first key to rehabilitate. And then comes the toughest part, they have to take up the blame this will make the healing process a complete one. If the addicts think that they can manage on their own, then it might be effective only for a short span of time, because only professional help you get over the dependency over the drug and also help to fight the desire. So seeking the professional help at the earliest can prevent irreversible damages being done to the body. Once the psychological barriers are overcome then the physical damages can be rectified with the help of medications. But the biggest challenge is to utilize the effort taken to heal, to its fullest by staying up sober and face the life without any guilt.
