As the name resounds it, ecstasy makes the person’s “high” a heaven. It is originally a psycho therapeutic drug and it is closely associated to crystal meth. Ecstasy creates the feeling of happiness and fearlessness. It gives a false sense of security and strength. Once the person reaches the “high” they shed their inhibitions and feel better about themselves. It’s one of the most widely used illicit drugs. Its chemical name is MDMA (3, 4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine). It produces a trance like state where the person moves away from consciousness. It also increases the sense of intimacy and can increase the sexual desire. The manufacturing of this drug is in itself a dangerous process and there are impurities added to make it cheap since it is a famous “street drug”, so it can even turn poisonous. The other names are “lover’s secret” ”essence” ”clarity” ”magic” and “hug drug”. There have been cases where the person’s have ended up dying because of overdose. The overdose of ecstasy can cause dehydration and eventually death. The drug also gives enhanced visions i.e. the person does not hallucinate but rather their outlook toward the world will change to much better. Added to this it also causes migraine, terminal cancer, post therapeutic disorder in which the fear and anxiety will increase and also insomnia. It also had profound effect upon long term memory. The withdrawal will bring with it many side effects. Quitting But it is better to quit late than never.
